I have a soft spot for all sorts of jellies, in all states of wobbliness. This Vietnamese Coffee Jelly is a very firm jelly, almost crunchy in texture, thanks to the use of agar agar.
Here you have layers of strong coffee, alternating with layers of coconut with sweetened condensed milk, to give you those Vietnamese coffee vibes which really hits the spot on a hot summer day.
We just had our hottest day so far this year in Zurich (37°C with no air-con! 🥵), so a cold dessert like this Vietnamese Coffee Jelly is a refreshing way to end any meal. A dip in the lake is also highly recommended 🏝️
